The President launched his first bus tour of the 2012 Campaign in Ohio this morning, speaking in Maumee. He will be in the Cleveland area for a stop in Parma, where he will speak with cancer surviver Natoma Canfield, an Ohio woman who wrote to the President and served as an inspiration for the Affordable Care Act. According to a CNN/ORC poll released Tuesday July 3rd, Americans are feeling optimistic about the Economy improving. However, when looking at how President Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney are faring with voters in "battle ground" states, the CNN/ORC poll results conflict with a recent Quinnipiac poll from last week.
Tea Party groups are planning to launch big protests across the nation this year on Independence Day, in response to the Supreme Court decision last week to uphold the constitutionality of The Affordable Care Act. The Tall Ships have returned to Boston again and this year they are commemorating the bicentennial of the War of 1812. Seen here are the only two active duty U.S. sailing vessels - the USS Constitution and the USCG Eagle - both participating in the festivities this year. The USS Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat.
